Sex counseling in Amsterdam

About the therapist

My name is Eveline Stallaart, I am a psychologist and sexologist (sex counselor / therapist). In 2008 I graduated from the University of Maastricht. After this I have gained experience in various workplaces as a practitioner. For example in the Jellinek addiction treatment clinic in Amsterdam and at the Sexology Department at Lucas Andreas Hospital (now called: OLVG West Hospital) in Amsterdam.

Since 2013 I have my own sexology practice in Amsterdam, called ESSH – Eveline Stallaart Sexual Health, which is located in Amsterdam city center. I am working as a psychologist and sexologist / therapist providing sex counseling. Besides that, I regularly publish articles in the largest Dutch newspaper ‘De Telegraaf’, women’s magazine ‘VROUW, on TV and other media (Elle, Marie-Claire and others) as an expert in the field of sexology. Appointment and costs

ESSH has no waiting lists and referral by a doctor is not needed. So you can easily make a counseling appointment by sending an email to info@essh.nl

 

Consultation hours

Regular consultation hours are weekdays from 08:30-18:00h. Each session takes 45 minutes. The first appointment will normally be with you, in next sessions it is possible to also bring your partner (if relevant).

 

Tariffs

  • Individual therapy: € 185,- per session (45 minutes)
  • Evening tariff: € 235,- per session (on request only)

 

COVID prevention measures

Face-to-face appointments are possible as usual, with a few additional safety measures:

  • If you have COVID (or similar symptoms): stay at home, we can do the consultation via FaceTime / Skype or telephone (or reschedule the appointment)
  • Do not come to the practice earlier than 5 minutes before the time of the appointment
  • Always keep some distance from the therapist and from other people in the building

 

Appointment via phone or Skype

Besides appointments face-to-face, appointments via phone, Skype/Facetime/Zoom are also possible, if desired. For such appointments, payment will have to be made in advance (at least 24 hours before the start of the session).

 

Cancellation fee

Cancellations or changes more than 24 hours in advance are free of charge. In case of non-appearance or late cancellation (less than 24 hours in advance), the full amount will be charged.

 

Payment

Payment will occur right after each session. This can be done in cash, via debit card (PIN), or credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express). A receipt will be provided to you upon payment. For Skype or phone consultations, payment will have to be made at least 24 hours in advance.

 

Healthcare insurance

Restitution/reimbursement for first-line psychological/sexual counseling by the Dutch ‘basisverzekering’ (basic healthcare insurance) has been changed since January 2014. As a result, the ‘basisverzekering’ no longer covers sex therapy / sex counseling.
